In Wings Of Fire Legends, you can see the imaginary continent Pyrrhia from the perspective of three different dragons, each with special powers.  In a world of good and evil, Darkstalker, raised in a strange family as a hybrid with his sister, has trouble determining what is good and bad, and must trust his friends (which backfires horribly), Fathom and Clearsight, to help him in his journey to help his tribe, keep his soul safe from his powers, and more!

No time period is given, set in imaginary continent Pyrrhia.

My favorite part of Darkstalker was the post-epilogue because it made the ending ominous and left you hanging.
