Book Review #6
Serious Scientific
Answers To Absurd Hypothetical Questions
By Randall
Munroe Pages: 303 Book 1
Description
“What If” is a
nonfiction Q&A book in which the author answers hypothetical questions with
serious answers. He also adds simple stickfigure drawings with captions to make
the book funnier and more entertaining in some parts of the book, such as the
chapter where he covers the question “What if a glass of water was, all of a
sudden, literally half empty?”
My Favorite Part
My favorite part
of “What If” is the question about how
fast you can hit a speed bump because it probably has one of the funniest
answers in the book, where at the end the book states “In the state of
Pennsylvania, drivers may see $2 added to their speeding ticket for every mile
per hour by which they break the speed limit. Therefore, if you drove a car
over a Philadelphia speed bump at 90 percent the speed of light… you could
expect a ticket of $1.14 billion.”
Why You Should Read It
You should read "What
If" because it is funny, it has illustrations, and it’s long enough to last
awhile, so you can read as much as you want.

This seems like it would be my favorite book yet! Thanks for the updates!
